Zaru graduated from Petra University with a degree in Interior Design in 1996.
Her Graduation Thesis was a Case Study on Renovating the Jordan National Gallery “New Concept and Development of Design for Existing Building”.
In the same year Zaru enrolled at the Academy of Art College, San Francisco, California.
Afterwards she continued her education in an Advanced Studies Honor Student-Department of Interior Design in West Valley College, USA.
Maha Zaru Participated in many art activities and exhibitions locally and internationally.
The Artist also received various awards through her young artistic life.
In 1990 and 1991 she received the Crown Prince Award for Achievement.
In 1996 Zaru received a Poster Award for the European Film Festival from the Royal Cultural Center, Amman, Jordan.
In 1999 she received Amman Hanoover Planning Committee Design Award,Germany.
In 2001 she won “Thinking with the Hands” Certificate of Appreciation for Artists Book, Spanish Cultural Center, Amman, Jordan.
Zaru is diversified in her art work along with painting and working with metal sculpture. She Designs artistic decorative items and home accessories, small paintings, candlesticks, etc. Furthermore the artist designs jewelry, Environmental Art work, and 3D relief.
