Born in Dawaymeh, Hebron, Palestine, 1933, Abdul Hay is a self-taught artist well known for his special technique using sawdust and glue. He participated in more than 35 Arab and international exhibitions and in 33 Japanese artists exhibition in Tokyo on the Sabra - Shatilla massacre that took place in Lebanon in 1982.
The artist also participated in the following exhibitions:

1981-1991 Six exhibitions in Damascus, one in Aleppo, Homs, Latakia,
Mesyaf, and Deir Attieh, in Syria
